Support for ICT Co-ordinators

Creative ICT believe that the Support for ICT co-ordinators package offers a set of unique benefits to both school and ICT co-ordinator. Designed not just to advise, but to share the workload, provide focus and make real change.
This mentoring package is delivered by an experienced ICT co-ordinator and is meant to be as flexible as you need. In consultation with your mentor, you set the agenda, decide priorities and set targets. A typical mentor program could include any of the following:

    - Audits and action plans

Practical, physical help with auditing your ICT resources, staff skills and mapping your network.             Set out a fully-costed action plan with realistic targets and time scales.

    - Policies and schemes of work

Helping to review, update and rewrite all relevant ICT documentation.

    - Software and hardware selection

Benefit from your mentor's wide experience and knowledge to ensure your ICT budget is spent               effectively.

    - Staff training

Teach staff to use specific software packages or multimedia capture devices.Learn about teaching          strategies with whiteboards. Set up a lunchtime "drop-in" for staff to address their own needs.

    - Team teaching or model lessons

Get your mentor into the classroom to work alongside staff or to deliver a model lesson.

    - Assessment

Should you be assessing skills or outcomes?

    - Lesson Observation

Take advantage of the fact that your mentor has been on the OfSted school improvement course.

If there is a specific issue or project that you have in mind that is not mentioned here, call John to          discuss your idea.
